UP Board: 90 schools objected to the determination of examination centers.

Siddharthnagar. A large number of objections have come from schools on the proposed list of 94 examination centers released by the Council of Secondary Education Prayagraj for the UP Board Examination 2026. A total of 86 online and 4 offline objections have been filed till the scheduled deadline of December 4. According to the information received from the District School Inspector’s office, most of the objections have been related to change of centre, non-construction or construction of the centre, high number of candidates, and long distance to the centre. Many schools have argued that despite all the arrangements being available, their names have not been included in the list, while nearby schools have been made examination centers despite having less capacity.

All these claims and objections will be resolved by a committee constituted under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate. The committee will take the final decision on the basis of physical condition of the schools, capacity, number of candidates, distance, security arrangements, seating facilities and board standards. After the completion of the disposal process, the revised final list will be sent to the Secondary Education Council Prayagraj, after which final approval will be given to the examination centres.

District School Inspector Arun Kumar said that a total of 90 schools have lodged objections on the given deadline, which includes 86 online and 4 offline. He informed that the schools which meet the eligibility standards and whose objections are factually correct, will be included in the decision on priority basis. All objections are being reviewed in a fair and transparent manner. After the release of the final list, the process of making arrangements at the examination centres, identification of sensitive and ultra-sensitive centres, security deployment and appointment of invigilators will begin.
