UP by-election: Seats divided between SP and Congress, know who will contest on how many seats

UP by-election: There seems to be an agreement between the Samajwadi Party and Congress, part of the Indian alliance, regarding the by-elections to be held on 9 out of 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. It is being said that Samajwadi Party will contest elections on eight seats, while Congress will get two seats. However, the date of election for Milkipur assembly seat of Ayodhya has not been announced yet. Elections for the remaining seats are to be held on November 13.

If media reports are to be believed, Congress has been given Ghaziabad and Khair assembly seats for the by-elections. Well the seat falls in Aligarh district. Apart from these two seats, SP is going to contest the remaining seats. Apart from Kundarki seat, the party has also declared candidates on other seats.

Let us tell you that on October 9 itself, SP has declared candidates in Milkipur along with Karhal, Sisamau, Phulpur, Katehari and Majhwan. Now Kundarki, Meerapur, Ghaziabad and Khair seats were left to field candidates. This evening itself, SP had declared its candidate in Meerapur. SP has made Sumbul Rana its candidate for Meerapur assembly by-election.
