UP cabinet expansion: Six new faces in Yogi cabinet, Akhilesh Yadav’s reaction revealed
Lucknow: The cabinet expansion of Uttar Pradesh government took place at Jan Bhawan in Lucknow on Sunday (10 May 2026). Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath of office to six BJP leaders. In this expansion, Bhupendra Chaudhary and Manoj Pandey were made cabinet ministers, while Krishna Paswan, Kailash Singh Rajput, Hansraj Vishwakarma and Surendra Diler took oath as ministers of state.
The stature of two ministers increased
Let us tell you that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath strengthened his team and promoted Ajit Singh Pal and Somendra Tomar. Both will now be ministers of state with independent charge. Earlier he was a Minister of State. This expansion is considered important in view of the assembly elections to be held early next year.
This is the second cabinet expansion of Yogi 2.0 government. Earlier, the first expansion took place in March 2024, when almost two years had passed since the government was formed. In the previous expansion, SBSP chief Om Prakash Rajbhar, RLD’s Anil Kumar, Sunil Kumar Sharma and Dara Singh Chauhan were given berths in the cabinet. This time too, ethnic and regional balance has been kept in mind.
Akhilesh Yadav’s reaction on cabinet expansion
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav wrote on micro blogging website There should be some awareness by understanding the principle of ‘Karmaphal-Kansphal’ and also some good changes. We believe that it is not the person’s ‘greed’ which gradually turns into bad behavior.
Something to do to pass the time!
Anyway, they have no role in cabinet expansion. The slip will come from there, it will only be read here. Anyway, under BJP rule, the meaning of CM is only this: Courier-Messenger.
By the way, the public is asking whether they will watch the film sitting at the front or at the back…

He further wrote, “On the contrary, it is also true that when a person leaves ‘selfishness’ and walks on the path of ‘altruism’ then positive change can come, it can prove to be meaningful for humanity. A few good things can win over a hundred evils within us, this is the deep inner message of the epics. There is no fixed place to atone for one’s mistakes and ill-wills, for this one needs the inner light which can be seen among hundreds of people. “Can also happen in ‘dark closed premises’.”
