CM Yogi launches ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ from Varanasi, Chief Minister makes this appeal to teachers

UP News: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ in Varanasi on Saturday. During this, CM Yogi appealed to the people to send their children to school. Along with this, school teachers were asked to get their children admitted in the same school where they go to teach. CM Yogi said that when our government was formed in 2017, we had launched the Go to School campaign on July 1.

‘Education is not just a medium to obtain certificate or degree’

CM Yogi said that before that I had got the opportunity to visit different districts of the state. At that time I had also seen the dilapidated condition of the Basic Education Department building and the condition of the schools which were on the verge of closure. CM Yogi said that it is our job to increase the curiosity of children. Education is not just a medium to get a certificate or a degree, it is a medium to calculate the future of the society and the nation, to make a human being a human being.

CM Yogi praised the teachers

CM Yogi said that if our teachers fulfill their responsibilities then good results will emerge. Praising the school teachers, CM Yogi said that all the school teachers of the Basic and Secondary Education Department of Uttar Pradesh worked hard to take Operation Kayakalp to new heights of success. In the School Chalo campaign, everyone tried their level best to send every child to school.

1.36 lakh schools equipped with basic resources- CM Yogi

CM Yogi said that when it comes to Operation Kayakalp, the Central Government’s NITI Aayog has also included Uttar Pradesh’s Operation Kayakalp in the success story of the country. CM Yogi said that under Operation Kayakalp, more than 1.36 lakh schools of the state have been equipped with basic resources. How through Operation Nipun, the curiosity of children about general education has increased and they have gained knowledge of numbers.

Dropout rate reduced to 3 percent

CM Yogi said that today toilets and drinking water have been made available for boys and girls in almost all the schools of Basic Education Council and the drop out rate has come down from 19 percent to 3 percent. CM Yogi requested all the officers and teachers of the Basic Education Department to bring the dropout rate to zero. Which will be an example for others.

25 lakh girls are getting money from Chief Minister Sukanya Yojana

CM Yogi said that at present the UP government is providing benefits to 25 lakh girls under Kanya Sukanya Yojana. He said that from the moment a daughter is born, money will go in her name under the Chief Minister Sumangala Yojana. When the daughter is one year old and she gets all the vaccinations, the money will still go to her account. When the daughter will be five years old and will take admission in the first class, the money will go into her account. Daughter has passed fifth class and will take admission in sixth class. Along with registration, money will be credited to her account. Currently, 25 lakh daughters are being given money under this scheme.
