UP Constable Recruitment 2025: MLAs including Minister of State wrote a letter to CM Yogi, government should increase the age relaxation by three years

Lucknow. After the advertisement issued for recruitment to 32,679 posts in Uttar Pradesh Police, general category candidates are demanding from the government to give relaxation of three years in the age limit. Now the Minister of State of UP Government and NDA MLAs have also raised their voice in support of these candidates. Wrote a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanding relaxation of three years in age limit for general category candidates.

In this regard, Minister of State Dr. Arun Kumar, Nishad Party MLA Anil Kumar Tripathi and BJP MLA Dinesh Rawat from Haidergarh have written a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Anil Tripathi said in his letter to CM Yogi that in this matter, in the Janata Darbar of Gorakhpur on 18 November 2025, you had promised that the candidates would be given a relaxation of three years, but after the release of the recruitment release, the relaxation has not been provided. At the same time, Minister of State in the State Government, Dr. Arun Kumar and BJP MLA Dinesh Rawat have also written a letter demanding relaxation in the age limit for the candidates.

Before this, SP National President Akhilesh Yadav had issued a statement supporting the candidates on the issue. He said in his statement that due to the shortcomings of the BJP government, police recruitment has become irregular and the Uttar Pradesh government should give a New Year gift by giving age relaxation to the candidates who have become overage due to it!

Why should unemployed youth bear the brunt of the poor and faulty recruitment process of the BJP government? We are with the demand of every candidate for police recruitment. In the release issued for UP Police recruitment, the age limit of general category candidates has been kept at 18 to 22 years, in which a relaxation of three years is being demanded.
