UP Crime News: Showed dream of marriage, then bride absconded with Tantrik, cheated so much money

A unique case of fraud in the name of marriage has come to light in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, where a tantric and swindler bride cheated a person of lakhs of rupees in the guise of fulfilling her dream of marriage. The bride, dressed in a red dress, ran away with jewelery and cash on the pretext of court marriage. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and started investigation.

Lure of wedding dreams
Neeraj Gupta, a resident of Sandila town of Hardoi, contacted a Tantrik who was struggling in search of a bride. The Tantrik assured him of getting him married and convinced him by showing him a picture of a beautiful girl. Excited by this possibility, Neeraj spent Rs 3.5 lakh on jewelery and started preparations for the court marriage.

Bride's robbery in red dress
On the day of the court marriage, the bride came dressed in a red dress. On the advice of Tantrik, Neeraj without wasting time made her wear expensive jewellery. However, on the pretext of getting ready, the bride disappeared with a bag full of jewelery and cash. When she did not return for a long time, Neeraj realized that he had been cheated.

Police investigation continues
Neeraj informed the police about the incident. Circle Officer (CO) Sadar Ankit Mishra confirmed that a case of fraud under the guise of marriage has been registered. Teams have been deployed to catch the Tantrik and the cheating bride.
