Lucknow. Leaving behind the recent political uproar and controversies related to Ram Temple donations, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has now sounded the trumpet of its victory chariot for the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. With the aim of strengthening its grassroots booth network long before the elections to be held in the year 2027, the party has decided to launch a very extensive and vigorous organizational campaign.
The biggest objective of this new election strategy is to divert public attention from all the political controversies and use all its strength in strengthening the party organization, so that its hold at the grassroots level can be made completely impenetrable long before the elections. In this series, BJP is going to take its first and biggest step today i.e. on 22nd July. On this day, grand booth president conferences are being organized in all the assembly constituencies of the state. Even though it is being shown as a normal organizational activity on the surface, inside the party this mega event is being seen as the official and final launch of ‘Mission 2027’.
Strict instructions from the National President – forget the controversy, now just concentrate on the organization
This new and aggressive focus of BJP has come just after the recent visit of party national president Nitin Nabin to Uttar Pradesh. During that visit, he had given very clear and strict instructions to all the senior leaders of the state that any controversy related to Ram Temple donations should not be blown out of proportion and should be left behind completely. He had clearly said that any kind of allegations and counter-accusations against each other should be avoided on public platforms and complete unity should be shown at every level within the party.
To take this message of unity from the top leadership to every corner of the state, today on July 22, all the stalwarts and big faces of BJP have contested the elections in different parts of the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself will address the booth presidents from Gorakhpur in a sharp manner. At the same time, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya is participating in this program from Bareilly, while the other Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak is leading from Jalalabad in Shahjahanpur. Apart from this, State BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary has taken command of this conference from Sitapur and General Secretary (Organization) Dharampal Singh is leading this campaign of the party from Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Army of veterans and ministers entered the field
To show such a scene of organizational unity within the party, senior leaders like former Uttar Pradesh BJP President Bhupendra Chaudhary, Swatantra Dev Singh and Ramapati Shastri have also participated in this campaign with full force. Along with these, senior ministers like JPS Rathore and AK Sharma are also present in different districts. The top leadership of the party has given strict instructions to all the BJP MLAs and Legislative Council Members (MLCs) of the state to compulsorily attend the event. This clearly shows how serious the party is about this organizational activity.
Database of 2.5 crore members and counterattack on the strategy of the opposition
To fully implement its infallible strategy, BJP is busy in creating a huge technical and organizational base. According to information received from party sources, BJP is preparing a booth-wise digital database of about 2.5 crore of its primary members. Its main objective is to make direct and strong reach to every house of the state through booth-level militant workers, so that the election machinery can be fully activated much before the elections.
Political experts believe that this step of BJP has come at a time when opposition parties like Samajwadi Party and Congress were trying to corner BJP by making the issue of Ram Mandir donations a bigger issue. But BJP has changed its tactics and shifted the entire political narrative from controversy to ‘strength of the organisation’. Although in the beginning of July, Pankaj Choudhary himself had termed the incident related to Ram Mandir donation as extremely unfortunate and had given assurance of a fair investigation, but now the party has made it clear that they are not going to give any importance to the statements of the opposition leaders on this matter.
