UP girl students will get 5 liter petrol and helmet along with free scooty

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a historic step towards the empowerment of women and girl students. A total of 16 proposals have been given the green signal in the important cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. These also include the government’s very ambitious ‘Rani Lakshmibai Scooty Scheme’, which has now been officially approved by the Cabinet. Under this scheme, meritorious girl students of the state will be given free scooty as well as facilities like petrol and helmet.

Know who will get the benefit of this scheme and what is the eligibility?

Under this decision of the government, free scooties will be distributed to the top 5 percent meritorious girl students passing the graduation examination from all the government, private and aided colleges and universities of the state during the academic session. The benefit of this scheme will be available to those girl students whose family annual income is less than Rs 12 lakh. The main objective of the government is to ensure that no daughter’s higher education is left incomplete due to lack of transportation. Apart from this, special preference will be given to the disabled, martyrs and daughters of destitute families in the selection process.

Petrol, helmet and registration facility will be available with Scooty.

The most special thing about this scheme is that the government is not only providing scooties but is also taking full care of the facilities of the girl students. Each selected student will be given a scooter along with 5 liters of free petrol, ISI marked helmet, necessary accessories, as well as RTO registration and vehicle insurance completely free of cost. This masterstroke of the government is expected to directly benefit about 50 thousand girl students of the state, and its distribution can also be started very soon from the month of August.
