CM Yogi gave Holi gift to the employees, salary and pension came in the accounts after the order of the Chief Minister
UP News: Lakhs of government employees and pensioners of UP finally got their salaries before Holi. In fact, due to technical glitches, there was a possibility that the salary and pension of these employees would be stopped. In view of this, CM Yogi gave strict instructions. After that, on Monday, the salary and pension amount was transferred to the accounts of lakhs of employees and pensioners of the state. Due to this activism of the Finance Department, lakhs of employees heaved a sigh of relief who were fearing shortage of money due to bank holiday on Monday.
Know why there was delay in receiving salary and pension?
Let us tell you that in view of the festival of Holi, the Yogi government of UP had given orders to transfer the salary and pension for the month of February by 28th February. Due to which the employees were able to purchase from the market for the festival, but due to some technical reasons at the last moment and problem in the treasury software, the salary and pension amount could not be transferred to the accounts of most of the employees on Friday. Whereas due to weekly holiday on Saturday and Sunday, a situation of confusion arose.
The finance department worked even after the bank was closed.
Since Monday was a bank holiday, employees were afraid that their salaries would come only after Holi. In view of this concern, the Chief Minister’s Office instructed the Finance Department for immediate solution. After that, Additional Chief Secretary of Finance Department Deepak Kumar had assured on Sunday itself that all the necessary formalities have been completed. Along with this, he established contact with the bank officials and ensured that the process of salary transfer through digital medium does not stop even on holidays.
Employees became happy as soon as money came into their accounts
Let us tell you that since Monday morning, messages of ‘Salary Credit’ started coming on the mobile phones of government employees and pensioners of various districts of the state. As soon as the salary message was received, a smile appeared on the faces of the employees. According to the Finance Department, about 16 lakh employees and about 12 lakh pensioners of the state have benefited from this prompt action. Employees say that getting salaries on time on a big festival like Holi is an example of the sensitivity of the government.
