UP government gave good news, new airports will be built in 3 districts

New Delhi. The Uttar Pradesh government is now working rapidly on road network as well as air connectivity. The next goal of the Yogi government is to make the state an ‘airport state’. The recent budget has made extensive plans and financial provisions for the expansion of the civil aviation sector.

New airports in these districts

Yogi government has announced the construction of new airports in Lalitpur, Jhansi and Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. Survey work for these projects is set to begin this year itself. So that the airport can be operated from here.

Lucknow airport also expanded

The state government will also cooperate in the expansion of Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (Amausi Airport) located in the capital Lucknow. This airport is being operated on PPP model. Runway extension has been considered necessary for the purpose of starting direct flights to Europe and America.

Other airports will also expand

The government has also planned to expand Shravasti, Moradabad and Aligarh airports. This will strengthen regional air services and promote tourism and industry.

Provision of Rs 2,111 crore in the budget

A provision of Rs 2,111 crore has been made for the civil aviation sector in the state budget. While Rs 750 crore has been allocated for Noida International Airport (Jewar). Apart from this, Rs 1,100 crore is proposed for the construction, expansion and strengthening of airstrips in the state. A total of Rs 1,965 crore has been earmarked as capital expenditure in civil aviation projects.
