UP Government to Give ₹18,000 Monthly Salary to Shiksha Mitras – Times Bull
New Delhi: The Yogi government has given a significant gift to Shiksha Mitras working on honorariums in Uttar Pradesh. The government has now approved an honorarium of ₹18,000 for them. Starting April 1st, they will receive ₹18,000 per month. Currently, they receive ₹10,000 per month.
This is being considered a major decision by the Yogi government in the interest of Shiksha Mitras ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself announced during the budget session of the state legislature. Furthermore, the instructors will be paid ₹18,000 per month.

Standing up to answer questions from the opposition during the budget session of the legislature, CM Yogi Adityanath opened the treasury box for Shiksha Mitras. Targeting the opposition, the CM said, “You used to pay Shiksha Mitras and instructors ₹3,000, but we’ve increased it to ₹10,000.”
Now, from April, they will receive ₹18,000. Instructors will receive ₹17,000, and we are making arrangements to pay them immediately. This represents an 80% increase in the salaries of Shiksha Mitras. All working Shiksha Mitras and instructors will benefit from this.

The Samajwadi Party also raised questions.
CM Yogi Adityanath has provided significant relief not only to Shiksha Mitras but also to instructors. Instructors will now receive a monthly honorarium of ₹17,000. Approximately 28,000 instructors are employed in state-run schools.
In this budget session, all opposition parties, including the Samajwadi Party, raised the issue of honorarium for Shiksha Mitras and instructors. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and MLA Ragini Sonkar had on several occasions cornered the ruling party by raising the issue of honorarium of Shikshamitras.
Focus on improving infrastructure and digital education..on
The UP government approved a budget of ₹300 crore for maintenance and development work following a school safety audit. Additionally, ₹2,382 crore has been allocated for CM Composite Schools and ₹300 crore for setting up smart classes in primary schools. Programs like Mission Nipun, Digital Library, and Operation Kayakalp are strengthening basic education technologically. Project Alankar is strengthening infrastructure and sports facilities in secondary schools. ₹300 crore will be used to provide sanitary napkins for girls.
