UP Legislature Winter Session 2025: CM Yogi said – Government is ready to discuss every issue including Vande Mataram

Lucknow. The winter session of UP Legislature (UP Legislature Winter Session 2025) has started from today. Addressing the media on the first day of the session, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the proceedings of the House are starting from today. A discussion will be organized on our national song Vande Mataram on 24th January. 24th January is also the Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh. We have requested the opposition parties for discussion in the all-party meeting.

He said that the government is ready to discuss every topic and answer every question. On the first day of the proceedings of the House, leaders of all parties including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Leader of the Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey remembered the contribution of late SP MLA Sudhakar Singh to the society on his demise and paid tribute to him.

Cough syrup scandal and uproar likely over SIR

On the first day of the session, opposition parties including Samajwadi Party may create ruckus over smuggling of Codeine Cough Syrup and Special Intensive Revision Campaign (SIR) of voter list. Besides, the discussion on Vande Mataram in the House can also be opposed.

Today, on the day of commencement of the session, SP Legislative Council Member Ashutosh Sinha raised questions on the Yogi Government regarding the Cough Syrup Scandal. He asked why the government is not using bulldozers on such people. Thousands of crores of rupees have been embezzled and children have died after drinking poisonous cough syrup. Has the bulldozer driver also fallen asleep after drinking cough syrup? Action should be taken against such people.
