Birth Certificate Based On Aadhaar: The problems of the people of UP and Maharashtra are going to increase. In these states, birth certificates made using Aadhaar card may be invalid. In recent decisions, the governments of both the states have made it clear that Aadhaar cannot be used as proof of date of birth. After which now questions are being raised whether the birth certificate made through Aadhaar card will remain valid or not?
Actually, the date of birth recorded in Aadhaar is not certified by any official document. For this reason, many such certificates which were made through Aadhaar have now come under scrutiny. If your birth certificate has also been made through Aadhaar, then it can now be cancelled.
Aadhar card not valid for birth proof
Uttar Pradesh government in its recent decision said that while making Aadhaar card, the date of birth is not decided by matching it with any authentic document. For this reason, it cannot be considered safe to accept it as proof of date of birth. From now on, in any government process from appointment to promotion, only birth certificate, high school marksheet, certificate issued by municipal body or health department will be valid.
In Maharashtra also, the government has started action on this basis. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that birth or death certificates issued only on the basis of Aadhaar card will be considered fake or suspicious and will be canceled immediately. This step has been taken to prevent cases in which certificates were being obtained with the help of false documents.
What to do if the certificate is cancelled?
If you too had got your birth certificate made through Aadhaar card and now it has come under the category of cancellation, then there is no need to panic. For the birth certificate, you will have to submit valid documents like high school marksheet, birth record issued by the hospital, records received from the municipal body, documents of parents, or any other official proof that proves the date and place of birth. Also, you can complete the application process by submitting the necessary documents in the concerned department. Once the process is complete, your birth certificate will be updated.
