UP mangoes will go to Japan: This special team visited the pack house

Lucknow, Read: The way to export mangoes to Japan will be easy from the Mango Pack House operated in Malihabad of the capital. Soon, Japan will certify the pack houses for exporting mangoes and give standard based export certificates. With this, mangoes sent from the pack house across the state will be accepted.

On Tuesday, a team from Japan along with officials of Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) visited the Mango Pack House and conducted the audit. Information about mango production, procurement, washing, processing, vapor treatment, gamma testing and packing was obtained from Pack House operator Amit Aggarwal. The technical team duly tested the machines at the plant. View documents like export standards, renewals, certificates etc. On this basis, Japan will certify the export of mangoes by specifying the standards of its country. Apart from this, mangoes can be exported to countries which have standards like Japan.

At the same time, APEDA has also renewed the certification of exports to European countries by visiting the pack house. Here, the pack house has started preparations for mango export. All preparations have been completed, from cleaning the plant to servicing the machines. Now orders will be taken from countries.

Mango will go to Japan for the first time

After certification, Japan mangoes will be exported from Mango Pack House for the first time. Because the export standards in Japan are tough and it purchases food items after getting certified itself. Returns food items shipped without certification. This causes huge loss to the exporters. The export initiative started last year and went as far as the General Embassy.
