Lucknow, 22 June. A fire broke out in a three-storey commercial building in Aliganj area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Monday afternoon. Gaming zone, software office and coaching institute also operate in the building. After the fire in the building, the students present in the coaching jumped from the top to save their lives. So far 15 people have died in the accident while five people are said to be injured, who have been admitted to the hospital.
Seem Yogi returned to Lucknow after canceling Hathras tour
After the horrific fire incident in Aliganj, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has canceled his tour to Hathras and Aligarh and returned to Lucknow. He visited the spot and the trauma center of KGMU and took information about the injured.

PM Modi announced to give Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the Lucknow fire and announced compensation. He said, ‘I am pained by the loss of life and property in the massive fire in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. My condolences are with the bereaved families. May God bless the injured as soon as possible. Rescue operations are underway and officials are providing all possible assistance. The families of each deceased will be given an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF. At the same time, Rs 50,000 will be given to the injured.

Seeing the magnitude of the fire, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, ACS Home Sanjay Prasad, DGP Rajiv Krishna, DG Fire Sujit Pandey, CP Lucknow, DM Lucknow etc. reached the spot. A four-member team of Civil Hospital was sent to the spot. Three ambulances were also sent to the spot.
Bed numbers 23 to 30 have been vacated in the emergency ward of the Civil Hospital. According to Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, there is a possibility of death of 12 to 14 people. He became emotional while speaking on the incident of fire in the institute. He said, ‘I have seen 14 dead bodies with my own eyes.’ According to Lucknow KGMU Medical Superintendent Dr. Amiya Aggarwal, 15 people have died.
