UP News: Fazilnagar of Kushinagar will now be Pavagadh, CM Yogi announced the change of name.

CM said, why will we call Fazilnagar? It will be named after Lord Mahavir. We are going to recognize it. The country and the world will come to you by connecting with the tradition and culture of Pavagadh. It is the responsibility of every citizen to be proud of his heritage.

It should be noted that the CM has announced to change the name of Fazilnagar for the second time. He had said the same thing in a public meeting organized in Ghaziabad last year.

Relationship with Gautam Buddha-Lord Mahavir

Kushinagar district of Eastern UP is very important religiously. Lord Mahavir and Mahatma Buddha have a deep connection with this place. Kushinagar is the place of Mahaparinirvana of Mahatma Buddha. It is believed that Lord Mahavir gave his last sermon at Pava – which is today Fazilnagar. Perhaps this is the reason why the demand for preserving the cultural heritage here has often been raised.

Get rid of mafia and mosquitoes in UP
