Lucknow. The sword of suspension is hanging over 82 BEOs who had kept the salary hike of 2700 teachers who were transferred from one district to another pending. Notice has been issued to all. All have been asked to reply within a week.

Let us tell you that Dhruv Kumar Tripathi, the leader of the teachers' group in the Legislative Council, brought this matter to the notice of the Chief Minister and demanded immediate issuance of salary hike orders for teachers. After which the Chief Minister's Secretariat took the matter seriously and sought immediate information.

When the department inquired from the concerned BEO, most of the BEOs informed that the main reason for keeping the files related to salary hike pending was non-matching of records.
