UP News: If you are planning to build a house or shop in Lucknow in the new year, then this news has brought relief for you. Now you will not have to visit the offices of Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) to get the building map approved. LDA has implemented the fast track digital system ‘Fastpass’ under the new building bylaws, through which the plot owners themselves will be able to approve the map online.
What is Fastpass system?
Fastpass is a completely digital and automatic process, in which there will be no dependence on the file of any officer for map approval. Under this system, the owner of the property can pass the map of residential building up to 100 square meters and commercial building up to 30 square meters. For this one has to apply online only on map.up.gov.in portal.
Approved map will be available in a few minutes
According to LDA Vice President Prathamesh Kumar, with the help of new software the entire process has been made very simple and fast. As soon as the plot owner uploads the required details and map on the portal, the system automatically checks it based on the set parameters. Once all the conditions are met, the map is approved within a few minutes and the applicant automatically gets the certified map and certificate.
What things need to be kept in mind?
To pass the map under Fastpass, it will be mandatory to follow certain conditions.
– Land use of the plot should be as per the master plan.
– The exact location of the plot will have to be given in the application.
– Details of length and width of surrounding roads will be required
– Information about height, covered area, front, side and rear setback of the proposed building will have to be given.
– It will be mandatory to give complete details of entry and exit gates and parking arrangements.

The application will start with name and mobile number registration on the portal. After this, the applicant can upload his map by creating a login ID and password. Fees will be calculated on the portal itself and online payment facility will also be available. As soon as the application is submitted, the system will automatically check the technicality of the map.

This new system will eliminate delays, unnecessary hassles and visits to offices in getting the map passed. The Fastpass system is being considered a big step towards increasing transparency as well as making the construction process in Lucknow easy and convenient for the citizens.
