Yogi government’s big announcement for women, this special facility will be available in 10 district libraries of the state

UP News: Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is taking various steps regarding women empowerment. So that in the future, women can also contribute to the progress of the state and country along with their families like men. For which women’s education is very important. In such a situation, the Yogi government has started a special scheme giving priority to the convenience and cleanliness of women in the district libraries of the state. Under which women will get sanitary napkins in 10 district libraries of the state. This scheme will be run by the Secondary Education Department.

This facility will start in 10 district libraries

Yogi government will start this facility in 10 government district libraries of the state. For which sanitary napkin vending machines and incinerators will be installed in these district libraries. This facility will be started especially in those districts where maximum number of female readers come to the libraries to read every day.

Secondary Education Department had conducted the survey

Before starting this facility, the Secondary Education Department had recently conducted a survey of all the district libraries. It was found that the number of female readers is highest in the government libraries of Mainpuri, Unnao, Ballia, Barabanki, Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Deoria, Bahraich, Gonda, Ambedkar Nagar and Ballia. Keeping this in mind, the government libraries of these districts have been included in the facility list of the first phase.

An amount of Rs 25 thousand was approved

For this, an amount of Rs 25,000 has been sanctioned for each district library. So that vending machines and incinerators can be installed in these libraries. The purchase of these vending machines will be done only through GeM portal. After the installation of vending machines, the expenses for their operation and providing sanitary pads will be paid from the annual budget of the library.

Will you get free sanitary pads?

Along with this, Yogi government has also made a rule regarding free sanitary pads for women in these libraries. Under which, if libraries wish, they can also provide free pads with local social organizations, women’s groups or private cooperation. Let us tell you that girl students and women study for many hours in the district government libraries. In such situations, many times they suddenly need sanitary pads, which causes inconvenience to them. In such a situation, Yogi government has taken necessary steps in this direction. With the availability of these vending machines and incinerators installed in libraries, they will get sanitary pads immediately.
