UP Police Recruitment 2026: 1 lakh new recruitments announced

The selection process is going on for many posts including Police Telecommunication and Home Guard, which is said to be completely transparent and merit based.

UP Police Recruitment 2026: 1 lakh new recruitments announced, big opportunity for youth

During a program organized in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh government has made a big announcement for the youth and announced 1 lakh new recruitments in UP Police. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this year the recruitment process will be taken forward on a large scale in the police and related departments, which will further strengthen the security system of the state.

The government says that under the already ongoing recruitment process, recruitment of 57 thousand constables has been completed and they are being deployed in various districts. This will see improvement in the capacity and efficiency of the police force.

Appointment letter and status of other recruitments

During the program, appointment letters were also handed over to 936 candidates selected in the Police Telecommunication Department. These include candidates for the post of Head Operator and Head Operator (Mechanical), who will be posted soon.

Apart from this, the government has informed that written examination has already been conducted for more than 41 thousand Home Guard posts, while the recruitment process in Civil Police, Sub-Inspector and other units is going on continuously.

Emphasis on transparent recruitment process

The Chief Minister said that now all the recruitments are being done through a completely transparent and merit based system. There is no need for any kind of recommendation or bribe, so that deserving youth can get equal opportunities.

The government claims that the police recruitment and training system has been further strengthened in the last few years. The capacity to train a large number of youth simultaneously has been increased, due to which the recruitment process will become faster and more effective in the future.
