UP Crime: Police tightened its grip on Agra conversion syndicate, took major action in the matter of funding.
The police has once again taken major action in the famous conversion syndicate case of Agra. Police have registered a new case against Dawood Ahmed in connection with the funding of this gang. Apart from this, attachment notice has also been pasted on his Bhopal house. It is being said that Agra Police may soon start action to confiscate his properties. Let us tell you, till now 14 people have been arrested in this case.
This is how the matter was revealed
Actually, in July 2025, two real sisters went missing in Sadar area of Agra, after which the whole matter was revealed. During investigation, information was received that both the sisters had come in contact with an organized conversion gang. The police had recovered both the sisters from Kolkata, after which the entire network was exposed.
Syndicate gets foreign funding
More than 14 people have been arrested so far in the case. The gang’s mastermind Abdul Rehman was active in Delhi. At the same time, his colleague Ayesha used to operate the network while staying in Goa. When the police took strict action against the accused and interrogated them, they revealed that the syndicate was receiving funding from foreign countries. He used to get financial help from various countries including Canada and UAE. Investigation revealed that Dawood Ahmed, living in Canada, was the biggest source of funding. The special thing is that he is originally from Bhopal.
The main funder was caught by the police
Police now tried to arrest Dawood, due to which they raided Bhopal but Dawood managed to escape from their hands. Dawood did not appear even after court orders. The police have increased their strictness. Now a notice of attachment has been pasted at his residence in Bhopal.

Police registered a case against Dawood
Another case has been registered against Dawood Ahmed in Sadar Bazar police station under section 209 of the Indian Justice Code. During this operation, the police freed a large number of girls from the clutches of this gang. Agra Police is ready to take further major action to completely destroy this network.

gang leader converted muslim
According to media reports, the name of the mastermind of the gang is Abdul Rehman Qureshi. His real name is Mahendra Pal Jadaun. The special thing is that he himself is a converted Muslim. It worked like a sleeper cell. One of his friends, Ayesha, was active in Goa. His real name is SB Krishna. Police have arrested her from Goa, alleging that she used to manage foreign funding. It is feared that this gang may also have contacts with terrorist organizations like ISIS and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
