A similar interesting scene was seen in Kanpur, when UP Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana was out on his morning walk. While roaming in the villages of Narwal area, suddenly his eyes fell on a buffalo and he expressed his desire to milk it. Seeing what happened next, everyone present there was shocked and the whole atmosphere turned into laughter.

The farmer present there, Ram Singh Yadav, was milking his buffalo, when Mahana stopped there and said in a joking manner, “Let me try milking today.” As soon as he sat down with the bucket, perhaps the buffalo did not recognize him and got scared. Seeing this, people standing nearby started laughing. Then Mahana asked everyone to remain calm. He fondled the buffalo very lovingly and then milked it very gently. Not only this, he also drank the same fresh milk in a glass, seeing which the villagers clapped.

Immediate action on public problems

Not only laughter and fun, this visit of the Assembly Speaker also gave impetus to the development works. When he reached Salempur village, the villagers showed him old scraps and demanded the construction of a CC road. Taking the problem seriously, Satish Mahana called the concerned authorities on the spot. He gave strict instructions to the officials that all four Khadanj should be converted into CC roads as soon as possible. Apart from this, after reaching Mangat Kheda, he inspected the 650 meter long interlocking road being built with MLA funds. There he closely examined the quality of the work and bluntly said that the work should be completed within the time limit.

During his visit, Mahana also visited Narayanpur village, where he visited the government’s flagship ‘Har Ghar Jal’ Took feedback of the plan. The villagers said that water is coming to all the houses regularly, with which they seemed satisfied. Moving ahead, his eyes fell on the women who were taking out the skewers to make soup. Satish Mahana stopped and talked to him and praised his hard work and skills. When the villagers complained about darkness at night, he immediately took a decision and gave instructions to install 30 street lights and 3 high-mast lights in the village within a week.
