UP Weather Alert: Storm and rain wreak havoc in 40 districts of UP! Big warning for these cities including Agra-Lucknow, know the condition of your city
These days, continuous changes in weather patterns are being seen in Uttar Pradesh. At some places in the state, dust storm and rain have drenched people, while at other places the bright sun has made them sweat. Even on Wednesday, hide and seek of clouds continued in districts like Prayagraj and Varanasi of Purvanchal. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in 40 districts of the state including Lucknow today, May 7. The department has also issued an alert of strong winds blowing at a speed of 50 km per hour in these areas.
Camp of clouds from western to eastern UP
According to the Meteorological Department, today rain can be seen in both western and eastern parts of UP. However, it is a matter of relief that now the trend of rain has started decreasing gradually. Today the movement of clouds will continue from Mathura, Agra to Lucknow, Varanasi and Gorakhpur. The department has warned that at some places there may be strong thunderstorms and rain along with lightning, due to which a drop in temperature will be recorded.
Condition of capital Lucknow and NCR
A game of hide and seek is going on between the clouds and the sun since this morning in Lucknow, the city of Nawabs. There is a possibility of light drizzle in some parts of the city, but the weather will clear in the afternoon and there will be bright sunshine. The maximum temperature in Lucknow today is expected to be around 34 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, in NCR areas like Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, the sky is completely clear and the heat will increase as the day progresses. There is currently no sign of rain here.
Alert issued in these 40 districts
The districts of UP where there is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain today include Lucknow, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Bahraich, Barabanki, Shravasti, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Etawah, Auraiya, Kasganj, Sambhal, Amroha, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Jalaun, Jhansi and Lalitpur are included.
Apart from this, there may be rain and thundershowers with lightning in Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau, Ghazipur, Chandauli and Sonbhadra in eastern UP. There has been a warning of gusty winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 km in these districts.
Scorching heat will return in the next 7 days
From Friday, May 8, the weather will once again take a turn and the weather will become dry in the entire state. As soon as the rainy season stops, the heat of the sun will show its effect. The Meteorological Department estimates that the temperature may rise significantly by 8 to 10 degrees Celsius within the next seven days. This means that soon people may once again have to face scorching heat and scorching heat.
