Yogi government will run 3800 special buses for Magh Mela, transport department completes preparations
UP News: Magh Mela is going to be organized in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh from next month. For which Yogi government will operate additional buses. For which UP Roadways has completed preparations. For which booking has also started. Actually, UP Roadways Management has started bus booking service for Magh Mela from Kanpur and its surrounding districts. Let us tell you that devotees will not have to pay any extra charge for this. Rather, they will have to book the entire bus just for commuting. Passengers will have to reach Vikas Nagar, Azad Nagar, Kidwai Nagar, Chunniganj, Jhakarkati bus stand half an hour before the departure of the bus.
Special buses will also run from Lucknow region
Along with this, special buses will also be run from Lucknow region for Magh Mela. According to the information, 500 buses will be operated from Lucknow for Magh Mela. Whereas 50 buses will be kept reserved. Along with this, 100 additional buses will be run for Amrit Sthan. According to Lucknow’s regional manager RK Tripathi, two temporary bus stations have been built for the Magh Mela at Belakchar and Jhunsi-Patelnagar. A total of 300 buses including 110 from Rae Bareli depot, 80 from Charbagh, 50 from Awadh bus stand, 30 from Alambagh terminal and 30 from Barabanki will be operated for Belakchar temporary bus stand. This will include 205 corporation buses and 95 contracted buses.
For the Magh Mela starting from 3 January 2026, UPSRTC is committed to make the journey of the devotees simple and easy. For this purpose, 3800 special buses have been arranged. From where will the buses operate?
Whereas for Jhunsi-Patelbagh temporary bus station, 75 buses will be operated from Kaiserbagh bus depot. While 25 buses will be kept in reserve. At the same time, 10 buses and 90 buses from Haidergarh will be operated from the suburban depot. Of these, 65 buses will be run for Magh Mela. Whereas 25 buses will be run in reserve. In this way UP Roadways will operate a total of 200 buses. Of these, 150 buses will be contracted to the Transport Corporation and 50 buses will be contracted. Let us tell you that Magh Mela is starting from 3rd January.
