Uproar in the second phase of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly session, opposition parties raised pro-Iran slogans

J&K Assembly Protest: As soon as the session of the second phase of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly began on Friday, a scene of uproar was witnessed. The session started in a tense atmosphere as several BJP MLAs protested in the House carrying placards reading “Give justice to Jammu”.

Opposition parties raised anti-Israel and pro-Iran slogans

At the same time, MLAs from National Conference and other opposition parties raised slogans against Israel. Some NC MLAs were also raising their voice in support of Iran. The atmosphere in the House became more heated due to sloganeering on this political and diplomatic issue.

BJP MLAs raised slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai, while opposition parties continued to protest. The proceedings of the House were disrupted due to sloganeering and noise, making it difficult to maintain peace in the House.

Proceedings adjourned, important issues stalled

To control the situation, the Assembly Speaker decided to adjourn the session for half an hour. Due to this, no important discussion could be held on the fixed agenda and the work of the session was affected.
