UP’s glory in IPL: Lucknow’s Naman Tiwari and Amethi’s Prashant Veer will enter for the first time.
Lucknow, Read: This time in the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is going to start from March 28, the glory of the players of UP will be seen. Especially everyone’s eyes will be on left-arm medium pacer Naman Tiwari of Lucknow and Prashant Veer of Amethi. Both the players are making their debut in IPL for the first time and are ready to make a mark with their performance. Naman Tiwari has previously been a part of the Indian Under-19 team and has been included in their team by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Along with Mohsin Khan who is already in the team, Naman may also get a chance to showcase his sharp bowling this season.
Whereas Prashant Veer of Amethi had made headlines by performing brilliantly in the UP League. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bought him in the mini auction, after which he will be a part of IPL for the first time. During this time, he will get a chance to share the dressing room with team captain and veteran player Mahendra Singh Dhoni, which will be a great experience for him.
A dozen players from UP in different teams
This season, about a dozen players from Uttar Pradesh will take the field as a part of various franchise teams. Sports lovers hope that these players will not only strengthen the teams with their performance but will also play an important role in the title race. The responsibility of bowling of Royal Challengers Bangalore will be on the shoulders of Bhuvneshwar Kumar of Meerut and Yash Dayal of Prayagraj. Aligarh’s Rinku Singh and Hapur’s Kartik Tyagi will field for Kolkata Knight Riders. Kuldeep Yadav of Kanpur, Sameer Rizvi of Meerut and Vipraj Nigam of Barabanki have got place in Delhi Capitals. Apart from this, Sunrisers Hyderabad has expressed confidence in Zeeshan Ansari of Lucknow and Shivam Mavi of Noida.

Former Indian player Gyanendra Pandey says that IPL is a platform where players from all over the world play together. Players who perform well here can reach the doorstep of the Indian team. According to Uday Sinha, Senior MD of Ekana Stadium, the increasing demand from players from the state is a positive sign for UP cricket and this will give an opportunity to new talents to come forward. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Junior Selection Committee of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and former Ranji player Kamalkant Kanojia says that the presence of players from UP will inspire young cricketers and in future more players from the state will be seen at the international level.
