The first phase seat allotment result for B.Tech, B.Des and M.Tech (Integrated) courses under UPTAC Counseling 2026 has been released. Selected candidates will have to accept the seat by paying the fees by July 20, while the second round of counseling will start from July 21.
New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Technical Education Department has declared the seat allotment result of the first phase of UPTAC Counseling 2026. Candidates can check their result by logging into the official website. Students who have got the seat will have to complete the admission process by depositing the fees within the stipulated time limit.
What to do after Round-1 seat allotment?
Candidates allotted seats in the first phase of UPTAC Counseling 2026 will have to accept their seats by July 20. For this, it is mandatory to deposit the prescribed seat acceptance fee online. General and OBC category candidates will have to deposit a fee of Rs 20,000, while SC and ST category candidates will have to deposit a fee of Rs 12,000. Candidates who are not satisfied with the present seat can remain eligible for a better seat in the next round by choosing the Float option within the stipulated period.

After this, login by entering your registration number or email ID, password and security code given on the screen. After login, the seat allotment letter will appear on the screen, download it and keep it safe for future.
When will Round-2 counseling start?
Candidates who have not got a seat in the first phase or who choose Float in the hope of a better option will be able to participate in the second phase of counselling. As per the schedule of the department, the second phase of choice filling and locking will take place from 21 to 22 July 2026. After this, the seat allotment result of Round-2 will be released on 24 July 2026. The candidates who will get the seat in this phase will be able to accept the seat by depositing the fees between 25th to 26th July 2026. During the same period, candidates can also choose the option of Freeze, Float or Seat Withdrawal.
