‘Uranium will not go out of the country’, Iran’s befitting reply to Trump, will tension increase again?

New Delhi: The ongoing tension between Iran and America regarding the nuclear program seems to be increasing once again. Let us tell you, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has given clear instructions that the country’s highly enriched uranium reserves will not be sent abroad under any circumstances. The matter of concern is that this decision has come at a time when America is trying to impose many conditions on Iran under the peace agreement.

America placed demand

According to Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency, the US had demanded that Tehran hand over approximately 400 kilograms of weapons-grade enriched uranium to international monitoring. Apart from this, America wants Iran to limit its nuclear program to only one facility and also accept that Washington will not give any compensation for the damage caused by the war.

Let us tell you, reacting to these demands of Trump, the Iranian ruling establishment has adopted a tough stance. According to Reuters report, Iranian sources said that the supreme leadership is of the clear opinion that the country’s nuclear stockpile will not go beyond Iran’s borders. Iran is considering this as an issue related to its security and strategic strength.

Has Iran reversed its decision?

Some time ago, US President Donald Trump had claimed that Iran has agreed to hand over enriched uranium and an agreement between the two countries is close. Trump had said that Iran is ready to return “nuclear dust” to America. However, now Iran’s latest stance has raised questions on these claims.

What did the Israeli Prime Minister say?

Meanwhile, Israel is also continuously expressing concern about Iran’s nuclear program. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently said that peace in the region cannot be considered possible until enriched uranium is completely removed from Iran.

At the same time, despite the ceasefire, the tension in the Middle East does not seem to be reducing. This is the reason why the conflict continues between Iran-backed groups and Israel. Iranian officials fear that America may take military action again in the future. For this reason, Tehran no longer seems to be in a mood to compromise its strategic interests in any agreement.
