New Delhi: Veteran actress Urmila Matondkar, 50, has filed for divorce from her husband Mohsin Akhtar Mir after eight years of marriage, as per a Hindustan Times report. The 90’s popular actress Urmila tied the knot with Mohsin in 2016. Mohsin is a Kashmir-based businessman.
Urmila and Mohsin’s wedding made headlines for several reasons, with one being interfaith marriage and a 10-year age gap between the duo. Though their relationship stood strong for years, unfortunately, it hit rock bottom.
Urmila Mantondkar files for divorce
According to a Hindustan Times report, Urmila Mantondkar has decided to call it quits and she has filed for divorce in court. The publication also quoted a source saying that though the reason behind the divorce is unknown, it is not happening on mutual terms. However, there has been no official confirmation or statement on the same.
Urmila and Mohsin first met at a high-profile wedding of Manish Malhotra’s niece in 2014. They quickly fell in love and formed an instant connect. On February 4, 2016, they tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony with close friends and family members in attendance. They also paid a visit to Amritsar’s Golden Temple and had a nikah.

Mohsin Akhtar Mir is a model and a businessman from Kashmir. He moved to Bombay to pursue his dreams in Bollywood. He made his acting debut in It’s A Man’s World (2009). He also featured in the 2009 film Luck By Chance starring Farhan Akhtar, the 2011 movie Mumbai Mast Kallanderand the 2012 film BA Pass. As per reports, he is associated with Manish Malhotra’s label.
