US Defense Minister praised India’s growing strength, told "super power"

New Delhi: Relations between India and America seem to be strengthening at the global level, the main reason for which is being said to be India’s military strength. Let us tell you, it is not us but the Defense Minister of America himself who has said this. In fact, during the prestigious Shangri-La Dialogue held in Singapore, US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth has described India as a strong and fast-growing military power. He said that India is continuously modernizing its army and is playing an important role in maintaining security and balance in the Indian Ocean region.

Mentioned about India-Pakistan

Let us tell you, in his address, US Defense Minister Hegseth also mentioned the military tension between India and Pakistan last year. He said that at that time US President Donald Trump had played an important role in reducing tension between the two countries and establishing peace. However, India has already clarified many times that the ceasefire was decided through direct talks between India and Pakistan and there was no mediation by any third country.

The US Defense Minister said that both India and Pakistan remain cautious about their security and will continue to strengthen their military capabilities in the future also. He also said that America considers both the countries as its partners and does not see anyone as an enemy.

However, meanwhile, Hegseth also praised Pakistan and said that Pakistan is currently playing an important role in establishing dialogue between America and Iran. According to him, Pakistan’s leadership has contributed positively to regional peace efforts and can help in taking forward the dialogue in future also.

While talking about India-US defense relations, Hegseth said that both the countries are working together towards manufacturing defense equipment and weapons, which will further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Said to spend more on security

In his speech, he described the Indo-Pacific region as the most important region of the world. He said that America wants that there should be peace and balance in this region and no country can impose its supremacy. He also said that economically strong countries should spend more on their own security. America is ready for cooperation, but it does not want its allies to be completely dependent on it.
