US entangled in Iran, China laid siege like a wolf, threatened Taiwan with 19 fighter jets and 9 ships
The month-long war between America and Iran has completely changed the global scenario. China is taking the biggest advantage of America’s involvement in this conflict. Taiwan is now left alone and China has silently focused its entire attention on Taiwan. Experts believe that China has made full preparations for the attack on Taiwan.
Giving information till Sunday morning, Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said that 19 Chinese military aircraft, 9 naval ships and 2 government ships were found active around Taiwan. Of these, 13 fighter planes crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered its air defense identification zone.
China’s increasing military activities
A day before this, China had deployed 13 military aircraft, out of which 11 had crossed the median line. All these aircraft were involved in joint air and sea exercises. Taiwan’s army kept a vigilant eye on these activities and also made necessary counter-preparations. These incidents are happening at the same time when tensions between America and Iran are at their peak in the Middle East. Experts say that China is taking full advantage of this opportunity and adopting a strategy to increase pressure on Taiwan.
Root of China-Taiwan dispute
China has long considered Taiwan an integral part of itself, while Taiwan sees itself as an independent country. This dispute remains the biggest cause of conflict between the two. China has repeatedly indicated that it can also adopt military option to bring Taiwan under its control.
China’s calm stance on Iran issue
Interestingly, China has good relations with Iran, but despite the American attacks, China’s attitude remained quite calm. He limited himself to mere rhetoric and did not provide any concrete military support to Iran. Experts believe that China’s priority at present is Taiwan. He is not directly interfering in the Iran issue so that America also stays away from Taiwan.
Xi Jinping’s clear message
According to a report, Chinese President Xi Jinping had described Taiwan as the biggest issue in talks with America. He had clearly said that Taiwan is an integral part of China and any kind of external interference on it will not be tolerated. China is currently working on the strategy of ‘pressure build-up’ while avoiding direct confrontation. Pressure is being put on Taiwan and its allied countries through continuous military activities.
