New Delhi: A tragic incident took place in which an Indian-origin Google techie was shot dead by husband at their residence in Georgia, United States. The incident also injured their son.
The victim of this incident are identified as 57-year-old Sheetal Wrzesien and 23-year-old son
The accused husband shot the woman first and after that he tried to shoot his son but he luckily escaped death because he ran away.
The son who ran away from the scene was the one who informed the neighbours about the incident and asked them to help him.
Following the incident, Police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused husband Kirk B. Wrzesien from the murder scene.
Police has charged Wrzesien with murder, assault, and firearm-related offences.
Police said the incident appears to be a case of domestic violence. The exact reason behind the shooting is not yet known.
Sheetal Wrzesien was a senior tech leader at Google with more than 20 years of experience. She graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology. She also owned two software patents.
Further investigation into this matter is underway.
