In this incident of missile attack on civilian school, innocent children have lost their lives, who had gone to school only to get education. This attack has raised a big question mark on international laws and rules of war.
Death rained on innocent children
On February 28, a devastating missile attack was carried out by America and Israel on a primary school in Iran. More than 165 innocent people, mostly small school children, lost their lives in this horrific attack. Being a Saturday, the school campus was full of students and the sudden blast destroyed everything.
Fatal omission of old data
Investigation has revealed that the US Central Command used old data of the Defense Intelligence Agency for the attack. Due to this old information, a residential school was mistakenly considered a military target and a missile was fired at it. According to the New York Times, the results of the initial investigation hold America directly responsible for this entire disaster.
The signs of citizenship were clear
Satellite images clearly show that a wall was built between the school and the military area in the year 2017 itself. The school’s walls were covered in bright blue and pink murals that reflected its civic identity even from space. Tomahawk missile fragments and video footage found on the spot have exposed the involvement of the US Army to the whole world.
growing circle of war crimes
Targeting schools and civilian targets during war is completely illegal and prohibited under international rules. That is why now more than 45 US senators have demanded answers from President Trump’s administration on this grave mistake. The Pentagon has started investigating the matter but the death of innocent children has damaged America’s reputation.
