Citing officials, an AFP report said that personnel deployed at Qatar’s Al Udeid military base were asked to leave. Qatar has the largest American military base in the Middle East. Iran had issued this warning

Earlier in the day, Iran warned its neighbors in the Middle East that host US troops that it would attack American targets if Washington attacks. The warning came as US President Donald Trump called on Iranian protesters to “continue to protest” and asked them to occupy their institutions. The comments increase speculation of US intervention in Iran as the country faces one of the worst unrest in recent history.

According to the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency, the death toll in the protests has reached at least 2,571 people.
