  • Smoke from fires at oil facilities can mix with rain clouds and produce polluted rainfall, which can have serious health effects.
  • Saudi Arabia’s defense forces reported that they intercepted several waves of Iranian drones and ballistic missiles. In these, Prince Sultan Air Base and eastern areas were targeted.
  • Qatar also said that its army intercepted missiles fired targeting the country. The United Arab Emirates claimed to have shot down 26 drones on Tuesday.
  • UAE’s Ruwais Refinery, one of the world’s largest refineries, stopped operations as a precautionary measure after the drone attack.
