Later, the attackers were also found dead inside the vehicle. According to CNN, FBI San Diego Special Agent in Charge Mark Remilli gave information on this matter. He said that ‘the two teenage attackers were later found dead in a vehicle parked near the Islamic Center of San Diego. According to the information, both the teenagers were 17 and 19 years old and they shot themselves after being attacked.

Took a gun from home

Officials informed CNN that one of the two attackers had brought Bandur from his home. He also left a short suicide note at his own home. In that note, things were written about pride on the basis of race.

Security guard also included among the dead

Officials said that when the police reached the spot at around 11:45 in the morning, bodies of three people were found there. A security guard of the mosque was also among those killed. According to the police, the guard showed bravery and intelligence and helped save the lives of many people. After the incident, the police was searching for the attackers by going door to door in the area. Meanwhile, another firing was reported a few blocks away, after which the police immediately reached the spot.

Police are investigating further in this matter. Which is being investigated on the basis of hate crime. Quoting sources of ‘The Times’, it was learned that the attackers were found dead in the vehicle, and anti-Islam articles were also found in it. Police have found a suicide note related to a suspect in this case. According to authorities, one of the suspects used a gun from his parents’ home. Imam of the mosque Taha Hasan said on the matter that ‘we have not seen such a tragedy before the attack. Targeting a place of worship like this is condemnable.

Police engaged in investigation

FBI Director Kash Patel, reacting to this incident, wrote on Twitter that FBI officers immediately reached the mosque and helped the victims. He said that all necessary resources will be made available to assist local agencies. Also, the public will be continuously updated as new information related to the investigation is received.
