US Navy’s big claim in war with Iran, ‘more than 10,000 attacks, air defense system destroyed’
Washington. In the ongoing war against Iran, American forces have so far attacked more than 10,000 targets. The US Army’s ‘Central Command’ chief made this claim. US Navy Admiral Brad Cooper made this claim in a video released by ‘Central Command’ early Thursday.
“If you look at our achievements combined with the success of our Israeli ally, together we have hit thousands more targets,” he said.
“Our precision strikes have destroyed Iranian air defenses and our combat sorties have proven effective,” Cooper said.
He said the US had destroyed 92 percent of “the largest ships of the Iranian Navy.” “They have now lost the ability to meaningfully project naval power and influence in the region and around the world,” Cooper said.
However, Iran still maintains control over the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf, through drone and missile attacks.
Cooper claimed that the US had struck more than two-thirds of Iran’s weapons facilities. “We have damaged or destroyed more than two-thirds of Iran’s missile, drone and naval production facilities and shipbuilding sites, and our work is far from finished,” he said. “We are on track to completely destroy Iran’s extensive military manufacturing network.”
