US: New revelations about Trump dinner attack, attacker sent message to family before firing

Washington: New revelations are emerging regarding the attack on US President Donald Trump’s dinner. Minutes before the shooting, the attacker sent a message to his family, explaining his reasoning for the attack. According to this message, the entire Trump administration team, with the exception of Kash Patel, was his target.

The New York Post has published this message sent by the attacker, Allen, to his family. In this message, he clearly states that all officials in the Trump administration, except Kash Patel, are his targets. He wrote, “I am no longer willing to accept that a pedophile, rapist, and traitor stains my hands with his crimes.” Allen reportedly did not directly mention Trump in this message. However, Trump’s name has been consistently linked to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Therefore, it is possible that he was referring to Trump.

In the message, seen by the New York Times, Cole wrote, “All Trump administration officials, except Patel, are my targets. They will be prioritized according to their positions.” He also wrote that United States Secret Service agents would only be targeted if necessary. If they do not attempt to cause harm, they will be removed non-lethally.

In a message sent to his family just before the attack, Allen also
wrote about the security arrangements at the hotel. He wrote that the security arrangements were limited to stopping protesters. He wrote, “I walk in with multiple weapons and no one there thinks I’m a threat.” Allen concluded, possibly targeting Trump, by writing, “This level of incompetence is insane. I sincerely hope this is rectified when this country gets truly competent leadership.”

Earlier on Sunday, nearly all the top officials of the US administration were present at a dinner hosted by the White House at a hotel. At that very moment, gunfire rang out. Sensing an imminent attack, security personnel evacuated all politicians and their entourage. The attacker, Cole Allen, was also arrested. Trump later stated that the attacker harbored hatred for Christians.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time an assassination attempt has been made against Trump. He was also attacked during a 2024 election rally. A bullet grazed his ear. Shortly after, an attack occurred outside his home. And now, this is the third attempt to assassinate him.
