US President Donald Trump’s big attack on NATO, said – “These countries are paper lions”

Iran Israel War: US President Donald Trump has expressed displeasure at NATO countries amid the ongoing tension with Iran. He said that when America asked for cooperation, many member countries distanced themselves from helping. Posting on the social media platform Truth, Trump even called NATO countries “cowards” and “paper lions”.

Allied countries are not coming forward

Trump wrote in his statement that these countries did not want to get involved in action against a country like Iran that was trying to become a nuclear power. But now that the situation has come under control at the military level, the same countries are complaining about the rising oil prices. He also said that tasks like securing the sea lanes are easy and involve less risk, yet the allied countries are not coming forward.

Impact on supply and prices

Meanwhile, America has given temporary relief in the sanctions imposed on Iran’s crude oil and petroleum products. This relaxation is given for 30 days and will be applicable only on oil shipments that are already in transit, new orders will not be covered under this. This decision has been taken in view of the impact on oil supply and prices in the global market. Trump’s statement is expected to further increase tension in international politics.
