US Under Secretary of State Alison Hooker to visit India, talks will be held on Open Indo-Pacific

New Delhi. Alison Hooker, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States, reached India. His visit is timed to advance US President Donald Trump’s priorities for a stronger partnership between New Delhi and Washington and a free and open Indo-Pacific. This information was given by the US Embassy in India on Monday. The Embassy said that it is happy to welcome Alison Hooker to India. As we advance the US-India relationship on many issues important for our economic and national security. The Under Secretary’s visit is a strong partnership.

Under Secretary Hooker’s visit will focus on advancing the US-India strategic partnership, deepening economic and commercial ties, increasing US exports, and promoting cooperation in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and space exploration. In New Delhi, Under Secretary Hooker will meet with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and senior Indian officials to discuss regional security, economic cooperation and shared priorities in the Indo-Pacific, including Foreign Office consultations. In Bengaluru, she will visit the Indian Space Research Organization and meet leaders from India’s dynamic space, energy and technology sectors to foster innovation and explore opportunities for expanded collaboration in the US-India research partnership, according to an earlier US Embassy statement.
