Casting director Mukesh Chhabra has openly expressed his views on this issue. In an interview given to Free Press Journal, he explained the reason for Sara Arjun’s casting. Mukesh said, “I am very happy that Aditya and other directors are giving more opportunities to new talent. My idea was that we wanted to create a new world, so we did surprise casting. This girl should look absolutely fresh and refreshing.”

Mukesh Chhabra told that for the story of the film, it was necessary to have a face which would seem new to the audience. Although Sara Arjun has worked as a child actor in her childhood, she has been presented in a new and different style in this film. He also shared that he has been working with Sara for many years and she has been giving auditions regularly.

When Mukesh Chhabra was asked about the age gap of Ranveer and Sara, he answered candidly. He said, “No, I was given a very clear brief. The story showed that he was trying to trap her. So we wanted a girl who was 20 or 21 years old.” According to him, this age gap suited the needs of the story.
