Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a green energy hub… Clean energy production and industrial investment will get a boost, green hydrogen projects are opening here.

Lucknow, Read: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is progressing rapidly in the field of clean and alternative energy. Concrete initiatives are being taken towards developing the state as a green energy hub. In this sequence, projects related to green hydrogen production are being established in Gorakhpur and Rampur, which will play an important role in promoting clean energy as well as environmental protection.

According to UP NEDA Director Inderjit Singh, a 0.5 MW green hydrogen pilot project is being set up by Torrent Power in Gorakhpur. The production capacity of this project will be approximately 9 kg per hour. This pilot project is being considered important to test the possibilities of use of green hydrogen technology and its commercial expansion in the state.

Similarly, a green hydrogen production plant is being set up by Zero Fruitprint Industries Private Limited in Rampur district, whose production capacity will be about 22.5 kg per hour. This project will boost clean energy production in the region and is also expected to increase industrial investment and employment opportunities. These projects being started in the state are being considered as important steps towards establishing Uttar Pradesh in the category of leading states in the field of green energy.
