Uttar Pradesh school hockey team became champion after ten years, 69th National School Hockey Competition was organized
Lucknow, Amrit Thoughts: Uttar Pradesh School Hockey Team (Under-14) has won the title of 69th National School Hockey Competition in a spectacular performance. Uttar Pradesh has achieved this feat after ten years. Earlier in the year 2015, the school team of UP had become champion at the national level. The final match of Under-14 boys category was played on Saturday in Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh. In this very exciting final, Uttar Pradesh succeeded in becoming the champion by defeating strong rival Punjab 2-1.
In the final match, Mohd., student of Guru Gobind Singh Sports College from Uttar Pradesh. Danish and Vivek Tiwari scored one important goal each to ensure the team’s victory. On the basis of brilliant play and strong strategy, the UP team performed strongly in the entire tournament. After this historic victory, there was a wave of happiness in Guru Gobind Singh Sports College, Lucknow. A total of six college players were part of the Uttar Pradesh team, including goalkeepers Amarjeet Tiwari, Vivek Kumar Tiwari, Pradeep, Krishna, R. Khan and Mohd. Danish included.
