Uttar Pradesh has further strengthened its economic relations with Singapore. During Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi’s visit to Singapore, the state signed several important Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at promoting the state’s institutional capacity building, aviation infrastructure and trade linkages.

Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi held an important meeting with Dr. Tan See Leng, Minister of Manpower and Minister in-charge of Energy and Science and Technology of Singapore, and Mr. Kong Wai Mun, Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Cooperation Enterprise. The focus of the meeting was to strengthen governance, policy design and knowledge exchange to support the long-term development goals of Uttar Pradesh.

Let us tell you, during this, both the sides signed an important MoU, which aims to create a strategic partnership based on Institutional Capacity Building, Policy Framework Development and Structured Knowledge Exchange. This partnership will promote sustainable economic growth, digital transformation and infrastructure development in Uttar Pradesh.

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh also held an important meeting with Mr. Kerry Mok, President and CEO of SATS Limited in Singapore. In this meeting, both sides discussed the growing cooperation in aviation and logistics sector between Uttar Pradesh and Singapore-based enterprises.

At the same time, during this meeting, SATS Limited signed an MoU to build a world class cargo complex at Noida International Airport, Jewar. Additionally, a Taj SATS air catering kitchen will also serve Jewar as well as other airports in North India. This partnership will strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position as an aviation and logistics hub and pave the way to promote trade, strengthen supply chains and create employment opportunities.

This strategic partnership of Uttar Pradesh seeks to give a new direction to the governance, public administration and infrastructure development of the state by leveraging the expertise of Singapore’s institutional and corporate sector. These MoUs will prove to be a major step in attracting global expertise and investment in the infrastructure and governance system of the state.

The Government of Uttar Pradesh aims to accelerate the state’s economic growth by connecting with Singapore and establish it as a major trade, investment and innovation hub.
