Uttarakhand News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Pushkar Singh Dhami and the citizens of the state on the completion of four years of the Uttarakhand government under the leadership. In his message, the Prime Minister said that under the leadership of Dhami, Uttarakhand has become a new identity of rapid development and good governance in 4 years.

Linking the identity of Uttarakhand to its rich cultural and spiritual heritage, the Prime Minister said that this Devbhoomi has been a land of faith, spirituality and traditions for centuries. The folk culture, different languages and dialects and simple lifestyle make this state special. He said that this heritage is not only history but also a strong foundation for present and future development.

Dhami government showed speed in many important works
Prime Minister Modi also said that with the cooperation of the Central Government, Uttarakhand has accelerated many important development works in the last years. Referring to the Char Dham All Weather Road Project, he said that with this the Char Dham Yatra is becoming safer and more convenient than before. Along with this, the Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line project was also mentioned, which will strengthen the rail connectivity in the state and make the movement of people easier.

The PM also appreciated the efforts to increase connectivity in the border areas. According to the Prime Minister, the development of roads and other facilities in these areas has not only strengthened security but has also improved the standard of living of the people there. Besides, he also praised the efforts being made by the state government to promote winter tourism. This has prolonged the tourism season and created new employment opportunities for the local people. He said that a big advantage of these initiatives is that it is helping in stopping migration from hilly areas.
When people get employment and facilities in their own area, they contribute to development by staying in their villages and cities instead of going outside. This also strengthens the local economy.

In his message, Prime Minister Modi appreciated the policy of promoting local products by the state government. He said that this is giving new identity and market to small entrepreneurs and artisans. Along with this, he also described efforts like women empowerment, employment opportunities for youth, encouragement to startups and digital and green development as highly commendable.
Capacity in disaster management sector is also getting strengthened
The Prime Minister also said that Uttarakhand is continuously strengthening its capacity in the field of disaster management. Being a hilly state, the risk of natural disasters is high here, but these challenges are being faced through better preparations and planning. He also praised the state’s commitment towards sustainable development.
