Chief Minister inaugurated ‘Mushroom Village’, a new initiative to increase the income of farmers – Obnews
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched ‘Mushroom Village’ at Buggawala in Haridwar district. Speaking on the occasion, he said that this initiative is an important step towards increasing the income of farmers, empowering the rural economy and encouraging innovation in the agriculture sector.
The Chief Minister said that mushroom production is an effective enterprise that gives more profit in less land, less water and less time, from which farmers can earn additional income. He expressed confidence that the ‘Mushroom Village’ model will become a source of inspiration for other areas of the state also.
The Chief Minister said that through the ‘House of Himalayas’ brand, work is being done to give recognition to the local agricultural products of the state at the national and international level. Due to which Uttarakhand will become self-reliant in agriculture sector and prosperity of farmers will be ensured.
