In a high-level meeting held at the Secretariat on Tuesday, Chief Minister Dhami clearly instructed the officials that special care should be taken for the comforts and amenities of all the devotees coming on Chardham and Hemkunt Sahib Yatra. This Devbhoomi is the identity of Uttarakhand, and it is the duty of all of us to keep it intact.
The Chief Minister warmly welcomed the devotees and tourists coming from across the state to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Regarding the recent incidents in Karnaprayag and Nagarasu, the Chief Minister said that the stand of the state government is very clear. Keeping all the aspects in mind, the administration and police are taking necessary action. Action has been taken against whoever has been found guilty in the investigation, and further strict action will be ensured based on all the facts. Any act that hurts the dignity of Devbhoomi will not be accepted, and the culprits will not be spared.
Chardham and Hemkunt Sahib Yatra conducted smoothly: Chief Minister Dhami
The Chief Minister said that along with Chardham Yatra, Hemkunt Sahib Yatra is also being conducted smoothly in the state. So far, more than 40 lakh devotees have visited the Chardham Yatra, which shows the unwavering faith of the people towards this Yatra. At the same time, in the initial days of Hemkunt Sahib Yatra, the number of devotees has been recorded 25 thousand more than last year. These figures prove the deep faith of the people towards Devbhoomi.
The Chief Minister laid special emphasis on the fact that in Uttarakhand, three major holy places established by Sikh Gurus, Hemkunt Sahib, Reetha Sahib and Nanakmatta Sahib, are located, where a large number of devotees come every year for darshan. Respecting everyone is an integral part of the culture and tradition of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister issued a strong warning to those spreading misleading information on social media. He said that the state government will act strictly against elements trying to divide the society and communities. It is certain that legal action will be taken against those spreading misleading and inflammatory news. Such elements will not be allowed to disturb the peace of Devbhoomi.
