Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the residence of retired Brigadier Mukesh Joshi and paid tribute to him on his demise. During this, the CM met his family members and expressed his condolences. The Chief Minister has prayed to God for peace of the departed soul and to grant patience to the bereaved family.

CM gave instructions to run Operation Prahar

CM Dhami said that strict action will be ensured against the culprits involved in this unfortunate incident. CM said that the safety of the general public is our priority. CM has directed the officials to run Operation Prahar in the state, so that strict action should be taken against unwanted and unruly elements. CM clearly said that those who play with law and order will not be spared under any circumstances. During this time, Sainik Welfare Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi was also present along with the CM.

According to the information, like every day, on the day of the incident, retired Brigadier Mukesh Joshi had gone for a morning walk with his three friends. They were coming back from a walk and were near the house when two fast cars were coming from the front. Both the cars were firing at each other. In this struggle, a bullet hit Brigadier Joshi in the chest. He died in the accident. The retired officer had no role whatsoever in this firing. He didn’t even know these hoodlums. According to family members, he served in the army till the age of 62. He was a part of many important missions of the army. Even after retirement, he was completely healthy.
