Uttarakhand Congress intensified preparations for civic elections – ..
The State Congress Committee (PCC) has intensified its activities regarding the upcoming civic elections in Uttarakhand. The party has assigned the responsibility to observers in the districts to prepare for the elections. However, observers have not yet been able to register their presence in some bodies, due to which there is confusion among the leaders making claims.
Laziness of supervisors became a challenge
PCC has received complaints from many districts that the observers have not yet reached the responsible bodies. In view of this situation, on Sunday the party activated the observers and directed them to visit the missing bodies as soon as possible and submit the report to the state office by December 25.
On the basis of this report, further election process will be expedited.
Competition among ticket claimants
There has been a huge increase in the number of claimants for tickets in the civic elections. So far, around 1500 applications have been received by PCC from across the state. There is intense competition being seen among the contenders regarding distribution of tickets.
