Vaibhav Suryavanshi Carnage Powers Rajasthan Royals 6-Wicket Win Against RCB
A solid knock from Vaibhav Suryavanshi has secured a comfortable 6-wicket victory for the Rajasthan Royals against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Friday’s clash.
His 78-run knock off 26 deliveries has made the 201-run chase comfortable at Guwahati. By this win, Rajasthan seals their fourth straight win and climbs to the top spot in the IPL 2026 points table.
After being invited to bat first, Phil Salt and Virat Kohli opened the innings while Jofra Archer opened the bowling attack.
Archer bagged the wicket of Salt for a golden duck in the very first ball of the innings. Devdutt Padikkal, who came to bat, also lost his wicket to Jofra Archer for 14 runs in the 3rd over.
Virat Kohli who took down Rajasthan bowlers got bowled out by Ravi Bishnoi for 32 runs. With Rajat Patidar and Krunal pandya at crease, Royal Challengers Bengaluru scored for 61 runs.
Soon after the powerplay, Ravi Bishnoi found a loop dismissing Krunal Pandya for 1 run. Jitesh Sharma who came to bat, got dismissed on a lbw. Brijesh bagged his second wicket dismissing 13 runs while Shepherd added quick 22 off 11 deliveries.
Venkatesh Iyer who came in as impact sub, played second fiddle as Rajat Patidar played captain innings scoring 63 runs off 40 deliveries.
With dismissing RCB captain Rajat Patidar for 63 runs, Sandeep Sharma bagged his first wicket in this innings. With Venkatesh Iyer and Bhuvneshwar Kumar at crease, Royal Challengers Bengaluru went on to score 201 runs in their 20 overs innings.
Iyer scored 29* runs off 15 deliveries while Bhuveshwar Kumar added 9* runs off 7 deliveries.

Jofra Archer, Ravi Bishnoi and Brijesh Sharma picked two wickets each while Sandeep Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja picked one wicket each.
Chasing the 202 run target, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibha Suryavanshi opened the innings while Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the bowling attack.
Josh Hazlewood break the dangerous partnership by dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal for 13 runs. However, Suryavanshi went on blast mode dealing with fours and sixes. He went on to slam fifty off 15 deliveries.
With Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel at crease, Rajasthan Royals secured 97 runs in the powerplay.
Krunal Pandya gave the necessary breakthrough dimissing Vaibhav Suryavanshi for 78 runs. He also bagged the wicket of Shimron Hetmyer for golden duck while Parag got dismissed by Hazlewood for 3 runs.
With Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja forging partnership, RCB slipped away from the game. Jurel went on to slam fifty and continued to bat to complete the chase.
By the end of 18 over, Rajasthan Royals completed the chase. Dhruv Jurel remained unbeaten with 81 runs while Jadeja remained unbeaten with 24 off 25 deliveries.
With four straight wins, Rajasthan Royals will play their next game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 13 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
